Mining and Dining: DH WTF?!

Mining and Dining: DH WTF?!

Mining and Dining is a series of stand alone workshops that show participants how to use computational tools to analyze texts, especially as this relates to the digital humanities. While we're learning, we enjoy some delicious free food!

For this first session, we'll be having a discussion about what the digital humanities are, and, in particular, what text mining is, and why we should be learning about digital tools and methodologies for the humanities. How can digital tools and methdologies such as text mining aid your learning, teaching, or research activities.

These workshops welcome students, staff, and faculty of all levels and experience, and, while we focus on the humanities, we enjoy having participants from any department or background.
