Baltimore's Billie Holiday: A Journey in Maps and Archives

This event is free and open to the public.

A public presentation of historical digital maps that explore the life of jazz legend Billie Holiday in Baltimore as a girl. Graduate and undergraduate students from the departments of English, History, German and Romance Languages and Literatures, and Comparative Thought and Literature have created these maps as the outcome of their study of Holiday’s life and Baltimore history in Professor Lawrence Jackson’s class “Billie Holiday and American Culture.”
