In honor of America’s 250th anniversary and Johns Hopkins University's 150th, Stern Center Director Earle Havens and the center's fellows will explore the rich and complex history of early Maryland through rare primary sources.
Drawing from the rare book and manuscript holdings of the John Work Garrett Library at Evergreen Museum & Library, this virtual talk will highlight Maryland’s colonial foundations, people, institutions, and everyday life, offering fresh perspectives on the region’s early past and enduring legacy.
