Join us for Douglass Day 2026! Douglass Day is an annual program that marks the birth of Frederick Douglass. Each year, thousands of people gather to help create new & freely available resources for learning about Black history. Transcribe-a-thons are events in which people gather together to work side-by-side on a crowdsourcing transcription project.
We will be hosting a trancscribe-a-thon party at Sheridan Libraries! We will have snacks and a livestream of the main event hosted by the Colored Conventions Project. We also encourage you to participate in the 6th Annual Douglass Day Bake Off!
