Christin Washington, a doctoral candidate in American Studies and assistant director of the African American Digital & Experimental Humanities (AADHum) lab at the University of Maryland, will present a hybrid talk titled “Nine Night & Good Mourning: A 3D Reconstruction.” Washington will discuss her work using 3D digital documentation to simulate a Caribbean funerary tradition, highlighting media and modes of digital storytelling such as photogrammetry, laser scanning, and spatial audio. She will offer an interactive demo to give participants a detailed view of her technical and experimental approach.
