Registration has closed.

Open to JHU Libraries Staff ONLY. This introductory session is designed for library staff with little or no prior technical background in Artificial Intelligence (AI). We'll touch upon how AI learns, where we already encounter it in daily life (and potentially in library systems), and why understanding it is becoming increasingly important in the information landscape. This course will define basics terms and vocabulary used in the domain of AI, and illustrate them with hands-on learning with basic AI tools. The session includes a hands-on component where participants can interact with common AI tools in a guided, low-pressure environment, fostering discussion about potential applications and ethical considerations within the library context. No prior technical expertise is required – just bring your curiosity!
