Discovering Jewish Heritage: Rare Treasures from the Sheridan Libraries

Academic liaison librarian Mack Zalin and Sophia Shoulson, a Hopkins doctoral candidate in Hebrew and Yiddish, will offer a fascinating overview of recent special collections acquisitions that complement teaching and research in the Krieger School's Leonard and Helen R. Stulman Jewish Studies Program, from Holocaust memorial books to captivating Jewish folk art, Israeli Mickey Mouse comics, and rare documents detailing Jewish life in Baltimore.

Presented online via Zoom by the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association's Odyssey lifelong learning program.

Join us for a special Odyssey tour outing to Sheridan Libraries Special Collections at the Brody Learning Commons on Homewood campus. Local registrants will have an exclusive opportunity to join course instructor Mack Zalin and engage with remarkable artifacts in person.
