DH Workshop Series: A 3D Reconstruction, with Christin Washington

Christin Washington, a doctoral candidate in American Studies and assistant director of the African American Digital & Experimental Humanities (AADHum) lab at the University of Maryland, will present a hybrid talk titled “Nine Night & Good Mourning: A 3D Reconstruction.” Washington will discuss her work using 3D digital documentation to simulate a Caribbean funerary tradition, highlighting media and modes of digital storytelling such as photogrammetry, laser scanning, and spatial audio. 

 

 

 

 

The Digital Humanities Workshop Series is presented by the Sheridan Libraries Digital Scholarship group in partnership with the Center for Digital Humanities (CDH) and LifexCode with support from the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute. The series offers monthly events highlighting the work of a researcher applying digital methods to humanities materials.
